Getting Around by Bus and Metro

Public transportation is probably the best option and the bus stop is just across the road.

Line 140 will take you to Piazza Vittoria in about 20 minutes: this is a perfect start point for a walking tour to Castel dell'Ovo, Palazzo Reale and the most visited destinations.

Alternatively, you can get off at Piazza Sannazzaro [click here] and catch the metro at the Mergellina station [click here]. 


Tickets can be purchased via the app Unico Campania.

  • A single-ride ticket "Corsa semplice" is euro 1,30

  • A 90-minute pass "Biglietto Orario" is euro 1,80

  • A daily pass "Biglietto Giornaliero Aziendale" is euro 4,50

Kids below 6 years of age do not need a ticket (1 kid per each travelling adult)

Bus 140 operates 7 days a week between 05:30 and 22:50, every

  • 17 minutes, Monday to Friday

  • 18 minutes, on Saturdays

  • 21 minutes,  on Sundays


For real-time info on bus circulation, download the app called "Gira Napoli Trasporto Pubblico", available for Android and iOS

Select line 140, stop 14 to check arrival time of the next bus to the city centre

Getting Around by Taxi

Taxi is convenient and it can also be quite affordable for a bigger party

Fixed fares must be applied for rides to and from the airport, within the most relevant destinations in the city and to several destinations outside Napoli

Getting to the Apartment

From Stazione Centrale:

  • for a taxi ride from Stazione Centrale direct to BayView Posillipo expect 25 to 30 euro, depending on traffic conditions;

  • alternatively consider taking the Metro to Mergellina (4 stops) and then a short taxi ride to BayView Posillipo (about 10 euro).

From Capodichino airport:

  • if you are driving, take Tangenziale towards Pozzuoli and exit at Vomero. Then let Google take you to destination (search for BayView Posillipo or click here). Expect 20 to 40 minutes, depending on traffic conditions;

  • Taxi station is right outside the airport, the fare will be 30-40 euro;

  • A private transfer can also be arranged, Google for "napoli airport transfer".

A private garage is available for 20 eur/night (extra, not included in the standard fee)

You can request to use the garage anytime after reservation

Dimensions are: 4,80 m long - 2,75 m wide - 1,95 m high (see pictures below)

Entrance

A day trip to the Islands

Capri, Ischia and Procida are great destinations for a day trip and definitely worth the effort of an early wake up!

Molo Beverello is the main harbour and can be reached public transportation in about 30 minutes (bus line 140 and 151). Taxi should be about 20 euro and take about 15 minutes. Time depends on traffic!

If you have a car and are planning to go to Ischia or Procida, Pozzuoli harbour [click here] is a more convenient option: ferries are cheaper and the trip is shorter.

Capri: Boat tour are available, you can choose one of two options:

  • Take a boat from Napoli: Google for "capri boat tour from naples";

  • Take a ferry to Capri and a boat tour from the harbour of Capri: Google for "capri harbour boat tour"

Where to buy Food and Groceries

For fresh fruit and vegetables: the closest place is here. This is a little truck and you will only find them in the morning

For coffee and croissant: walk 5 minutes to Bar Rivalta 

A small supermarket is just 2-minutes away: Margherita Conad 

Alternatively, walk to here (about 10 minutes) for an array of local stores.
